today I sent an email to a few folks about the speed of traffic on the street where I live

I had been emailing back and forth on this with some people for a while
stopped filling their emails with my rants when I was informed that there was going to be "a study"

well....

today I asked for a temporary solution until the results of the study come in
as I am trying to avoid a worst case scenario
seeing my neighbor and his two kids nearly get flattened this am made me feel like we do not want to wait until it is too late

study?

funny that they have to do a study....
it is speeding traffic...
slow it down

there is massive bike traffic on this road...
give them a bike path

I proposed that a bicycle path on each side of the 44 foot wide road would act to give the illusion of a more narrow path
causing cars to slow down
also making it more safe for cars to open the doors
(the bikes would remain in the "door zone"
((but the bikes were in the "door zone" before))

qwadzilla, what street are you referring to? I presume you're suggesting bike lanes, not a bike path.

Im pretty sure it was phillipe that said a plan is just a list of things that will never happen

You're right and the line is, "A plan is just a list of things that don't happen."
