Four Mile Run Trail Groundbreaking Event

Saturday, October 20, 2007

Join Congressman Jim Moran and Arlington County to celebrate the beginning of construction on a trail linking the popular Washington & Old Dominion and Four Mile Run Trails. The new path will offer a safer and more direct route for walkers, runners, and cyclists under Shirley Highway (I-395) and along scenic Four Mile Run.

The League of American Bicyclists will also present Arlington with the Silver Level Bicycle Friendly Community Award for efforts to promote and encourage cycling throughout our community.

The event will be on October 20 at 10am at 27th Road South at South Four Mile Run Drive (outside of the construction office). The Arlington Bicycle Advisory Committee will be meeting at Courthouse Plaza at 9am to ride to the event. All are welcome.
