5th and I NW

There is an RFP to develop the empty lot just north of I street NW on 5th St. Four developers are working on proposals. You can read a summary of these here.

One of the proposals, I5, led by a group of entirely DC-based businesses had an interesting feature.

"They would encourage employees to go green by paying for 100% of employee commuter transportation and bicycle tune ups."

Nice. More downtown businesses should take this approach. It's far cheaper than parking.
